Hello dears,
I had prostatitis inflation
I couldn't empty my bladder properly for days till came a day when it stopped. I'm a civil engineer and I was at a project far from any doctor.
After a 3 hour ride the doctor installed a Foley catheter. It was such a relief.
I forgot to say that we had a small clinic at the construction site, the nurse was friend with an agent from a herbal drug company and ordered a package of pills for prostate inflation which I started taking the herbal pills as described.
I went to a bigger city to a surgeon. I had pathology test. Bone scan, lung scan, prostate scan. He then sent me to a chemotherapy doc. Who insisted to cut off herbal pills and only rely on chemical but after 4 weeks when I changed the catheter the inflation was back. I couldn't urinate even a drop.
I stopped chemotherapy and turned to herbal pills again which worked!!
But bone cancer started. It started in my right shoulder spreading down to my hands and bottom of my neck.
After a month in started from my right foot where I had a bad accident. Now all my body is swollen, the pain I can bear and declined doctors prescription of morphine injections twice a day.
My bone cancer started 50 days ago. Does anyone know how much time I have left?
Hi 67.y.old and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
Probably the best people to ask about your prognosis is either your CNS (cancer nurse specialist), sometimes referred to as a keyworker or Macmillan nurse, or your consultant as they have access to all your medical records.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
