Blood in my pee

Good morning.

I have been peeing blood on and off for a few months now but put it down to a possible kidney stone on my right hand side as I have had a few kidney stones in the past and the pain was the same as before i.e a dull aching pain in my kidney and round the front which can sometimes be disabilitating.

I had a CT scan and it came back as no kidney stone found.

Also I got told a few years ago that I have a Gallstone, and I can feel it under the right hand side of my ribs mostly when I sit down.

I went to the GP and he has now done an urgent referral to the urologist.

I have never smoked, but after the GP sending me for an urgent referral and after reading all the things on line it looks like it is 100% bladder cancer.

At the moment I do have a kidney stone on my left Kidney which has now moved down to the lower part on the tube.

My question is this, is it always bladder cancer if there is blood in urine ?

Thank you you.

Simon.

  • Hi Simon,I’m sure you will worry less once you know exactly what is going on and have a treatment plan.I think we all find the waiting and uncertainty is one of the hardest things to cope with as your mind goes into overdrive.I hope you will be able to enjoy your holiday and push the worry to the back of your mind.Love Jane x

  • Thank you Jane.

I know it's a referral, and it says 9 out of 10 referrals turn out not to be cancer, but it also said that when I had my referral for my mole but after it came back as a positive melignant Melanoma diagnosis I must admit I am very very worried now.

    Thank you Jane.

Take care and enjoy this lovely sunny weekend.
