Yes had that all done on the 18th Jan

More urine and blood tests, MRSA swap etc

Thank you yes it was a shock that it returned, no I didn’t have any other treatment after the TURBT , I had regular check up for three years then was signed off even tho I was initially told I would have check up’s for ten years ( I guess cut backs was the reason for this ) as far as the grade goes the laser burns it away so there’s nothing left to remove to grade was told it was very small , I was alerted to it by blood in my urine. I thought they checked for at least 5 years

What grade and stage was the original tumour if you mind me asking

It was a G2 p ta carcinoma . On my first check up 3 months after the operation I was told I would have another check in 3 months then if alls well a 6 month check then another 6 months after that it will be every 12 months for 10 years , but 3 years on they said they now don’t like to keep calling people back every year as it causes worry but in my opinion I was glad to go for peace of mind I have now been told because of the recurrence I will be on life time observation (will see hopefully they will )

I agree, I would rather have piece of mind and have checks for life, hope you continue to stay cancer free 

I'd rather have checks also. Only by chance I saw blood . I was discharged in first lockdown after being told I'd need 6 monthly then yearly.

I got a phone call from urology this morning saying they were bringing mine forward from the 15th to the 3rd February xxx

So lucky you checked, I only ever had one episode of bleeding, so its worth checking every time. x
