I am in Kent

I am very happy that your TURBT is sooner rather than later

I wish I had a date so I could mentally prepare and I am a full time carer for my mum who is 86 and has Parkinsons

I need to put a plan in place to make sure she is looked after for a while after my op

Too be honest I am more worried about mum than I am about myself so at least it keeps my mind busy from worrying

Aww thank you, yes we have my father living with us, fortunately he’s still very mobile etc. The urologist who’s doing the TURBT rang me and explained what would happen, apparently once they’ve done the TURBT, they will keep a catheter on and flush the bladder out three times and scans after each flush. I’m going in for 7.30am and they’ve said up to now I’ll only be staying the one night xxx

Its great that they have explained everything to you, must make you feel a bit better

I am such a forward planner and hate the unknown

Hi Tina,I was full time carer for my late mum and you do worry about them.I had to put Mum into respite care when I first became ill.It wasn’t ideal but she was well looked after.I hope you get your date soon.Love Jane xx

I am looking at respite or temporary live in carers to help with mum, but as I don't have a date yet it is hard to plan ahead

LiRoss was diagnosed a week after me and has a date for next week, but I am still waiting
