I have just been diagnosed and I am waiting for an operation date
Most of the posts on here are about or from men
I would love to hear from women who have had treatment
Yes I think so.I remember an injection into my back.Mine started off robotically but the tumour was too bulky to remove via the vagina. The surgeon had said beforehand that if there were complications he might have to open up the abdomen.I have a few robotic scars and an abdominal scar. They have all faded well.
Aww thank you so much. I’m trying to be positive, but nerves are really taking over right now xxx
Gosh, that’s a long time Jane. I cannot even imagine what skills it takes to be a surgeon. I never saw or spoke to my urology surgeon after my op, but I was able to thank my colorectal and gynae surgeons for saving my life.

I was desperate for the chance to have the op, so I always did my best to focus on the outcome rather than the process to get there. I even slept well the night before and just put all my faith in my team. And I was blessed to have a great outcome, thankfully.

I was in 9 nights, discharged late afternoon on day 10.Like Sarah I tried to focus on the future and although I was scared by surgery day I was surprisingly calm. You have to put your trust in the surgeons. They will do their best for you and you have the support of everyone here.x
