Hello I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2016 and referred for the removal of the right kidney. Following this procedure I was scanned on a regular basis to see if all was clear.
About 18 months ago I was advised that I had non invasive bladder cancer, Following the usual process I was given treatment involving cystoscopy and surgery to remove the cancer cells from the bladder.
This was followed by two induction courses of Immunotherapy with BCG applied over the end of last year and early part of this year.
Unfortunately both courses of BCG failed and Iam being advised to get onto a clinical trial at Stockport hospital to see if this would be of benefit. I have been booked in for my first clinic appointment where I will be given more details on what may be of benefit.
Does anyone else have experience of this procedure especially relating to clinical trials?
