Recently diagnosed and have TURBT 22 Sep feeling anxious
Yes, that is small, but it is the stage & grade which are most important. Those will be defined by the path report after your TURBT. We are all familiar with the worry waiting for results. These results will determine the most appropriate treatment. BC is very treatable & once you know better what you are dealing with, the way ahead seems clearer.
TURBT is usually day surgery, under a brief general anaesthetic. You may wake with a catheter in place which will probably be removed after an hour or so. You will be allowed home once you have had a wee. Expect painful & frequent urination for at least a few days, drink plenty to flush any debris through & keep urine dilute. Takes things easy for a couple of weeks or so. Hope all goes well.
