Dad just started his MVAC chemo last week , day 5 today. He is very tired, and also having a lot of belly pain, decreased appetite? He is very healthy otherwise but seems to be giving up and frustrated.
When are the worst days and how do we make these days easier for him?
Still has 2 treatments left. He is 83 and are there people going through this at his age?
I am not sure what to do or say.
Hello and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear your Dad is having a hard time with his chemo. Searching the forum, MVAC isn't one of the more common treatments, but chemo in general can wipe you out. It is important to make sure dad is kept well hydrated, but it is always wise to let the chemo team know about the belly pain. Best wishes.
