I’ve been watching what I eat as to not irritate the bladder… my diet has become so bland it’s painful… so today as I was staring at my brown rice and boiled chicken I thought sod this…went to Marks and got a burger, peppercorn sauce, cheese..and a bun….with some oven chips it was delicious….
ive had 2.5 litres of water today which has really helped…pissing like a camel….still a bit of pain but not bad…good flow as well rather than dripping out of me…although the urgency is back…I’ll settle for a few wees in the night hoping the flow is good….
Went back to bed this morning for n hour or so…felt like I’d slept all night…
love to all
Nigel …
Hi Nigel,
If the diet is dull and you're not enjoying it, then it's not substanable.
I think that most people change their diet a bit after being diagnosed. I went overboard also, but the food I make is still enjoyable.
I mean changing white rice and bread to wholegrain is a good thing I believe. I haven't had a slice of white sliced be bread in three years. Don't miss it at all, wholemeal and multi grain alternatives are so much tastier.
I do occasionally have fresh white rolls/ baguettes if nothing else is around, but never that white sliced stuff.
You have to find a happy medium I guess.
Great news the flow is picking up.
Also glad you enjoyed your burger..
Trevor
Getting back to normal after BCG takes time, thankfully the 6 months break will help. Although I'm still having issues, so you're not alone mate.
Got to plod on right.. thankfully I still enjoy a few beers a week too see me through.
Have a great weekend.
Trevor
How are you today my friend ? Have you managed to get any sleep last night? The burger sounds delicious and glad you thoroughly enjoyed it . As for still feeling stressed Nigel, you are in pain when you pee, getting no sleep or interrupted sleep and I am sure (if it was me), worrying when it was all going to get better . could that be why ? sending you a big hug man, you are going through a rough patch with the BCG, it really isnt easy this journey xx
Much love Angela x
Hi mate, I am ok thanks, frustrated with doing nothing, but its better than being bed bound!
we won today, watched it on the tellybox , which is cheering me up.
Had some reflexology the other day , which was marvellous. I was about to say I am back to eating sensibly but that would be a lie haha. Onwards and upwards, glad things are getting better Nigel x
Much love Angela x
