My dear wife Mrs Leo will never read this. But I just want to say how lucky I am to have such a wonderful supportive wife. I am indeed blessed. The last year and a half since diagnosis has worn her down, but she has always been marvellous.

  • Hi Leo. Really good to know how supportive Mrs L has been. Sometimes we forget that our loved ones are just as affected and in some cases even more than we are. Best wishes to you both and your family.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Well said Rily. You are a wise and thoughtful man. I dread to think how I would have survived my cancer journey without the support of my wonderful wife. Garviv

  • I wish I could tell her, but I suspect she already knows how much you appreciate her.

It must be terrible to have to face this stuff alone or even worse with the wrong partner.

And I am sure the rest of us women could write something similar about our husbands, certainly I could (and have).

    Long may it continue.

  • Hi

Lovely words about Mrs Leo. Those of us who are indeed blessed with wonderful and amazing partners are so lucky to have them beside us every step of the way. I could not have done the last 6.5 years, sometimes in very stormy seas, without my own lifeboat to cling to. Hope you’re doing better in yourself today-you’ve been having a difficult time of it.

  • Hi Sarah, glad you too have a lifeboat. Struggling with repeated UTIs so far 3 admissions to hospital. In my latest I have spent 4 days without a bed. 3 days in a chair, one day on a trolley. What a state.

  • Oh dear Leo,Not what you need when you are unwell.I hope things improve for you and you feel better soon.Jane x
