Hello everyone. We are thinking about booking holidays to Lanzarote and Cyprus this year. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions re Travel Insurance for people with Bladder Cancer? Thanks Garviv
Yes, absolutely-I did this the first time I went abroad after my first cancer treatment. I declared the cancer, the treatment, the fact that I’d had a NED scan, and they wouldn’t cover for my cancer as I was less than 6 months from my clear scan, but I was covered for everything else and was happy with this.
I just reviewed the policy yesterday on the phone as I’m going away next week, and had to go through a full set of questions again. I had surgery in September last year but not for cancer, so they wouldn’t cover any issues arising from that. As I’d had my gallbladder removed, I wasn’t bothered they wouldn’t cover it! But I am insured for all other risks like accident and theft and that’s fine.
