I had a urology phone appointment yesterday. The urologist thinks the dilation of my kidneys is a result of the cystectomy. He didn’t seem bothered about it but said I can have an ultrasound in May.The next CT scan will be in November and then he wants to move onto yearly scans. He wasn’t interested in how I was feeling and says it’s nothing to worry about at this stage.I don’t feel listened to or reassured.Very fed up.Jane xx
Sorry having been away if I am out of order here, but have you asked your consultant if it would be appropriate for you to try Mitomycin? When my OH had a recurrence after BCG they let him try this and it's worked so well , though ovbiously everyone's different, that he still has his bladder and all. He was originally PTa G3 and a jolly lot of them too.

My appt letter for scan is dated the day after I spoke to the urologist so perhaps he has taken it more seriously after all.I have been feeling excessively tired since this kidney problem was found but obviously I’m under a lot of stress which won’t be helping. It will be interesting to see whether anything has changed since the previous scan.Love Jane xx
