Morning all. I'm new to this group. My husband has been diagnosed with small cell bladder cancer and is due to start chemo soon. It seems its a rare cancer to have in the bladder. Has anyone else any experience of this? Thanks.
You'll do fine. Take everything they offer, especially the anti sickness. My lesson learned, is keep taking the maximum a day, all the way through. You will always be able to get more and, feeling queasy challenges your sense of humour pretty thoroughly!

Hi, yeah I’m getting over operation fairly well, lost about 15kgs in weight had some problems with constipation and diahorrea in weeks following operation but beginning to level out now , still a little stomach pain but expected that as I also have Crohn’s disease and my medication was stopped for 6 weeks so fairly inevitable I was going to have a Crohn’s flare up.
Managing the urostomy bag fine and it’s a great relief being able to go out and not having to park where I know there are toilet facilities to hand
I definitely will I tell every doctor I see ,I came to you guys for help so whatever you recommend in treating me I’ll follow to the letter.
Mike had the same chemo, he's somehow managed to hang on to his hair! Very thin now but he did have a good head of hair.
He's back in hospital.after a difficult weekend with a lot of pain and a very swollen leg - turns put he has a blood clot. So he's been pit on thinners and he had MRI scan yesterday. Oncologist looking at best options and wants him to have 5x radiotherapy as a palliative measure but I suspect more chemo will follow.
It's a horrible b*stard this small cell cancer.
Glad you had a good weekend Simon

Hi Billy
Glad to hear you're on the mend and coping with wee bags! Mike also has bilateral nephrostomy, on top of everything else.
He's also got cancer spread to pelvic bones and lymph nodes, so it heartens me to hear you've had lymph nodes removed and that's helped.
Anyway we keep on keeping on!
