Received my biopsies results today and was disappointed to find out it was grade 3 T1 bladder cancer. The only good news is that it hasn't spread but I have to go back in for a second Turbt in 3-4 weeks so they can do another resection to make sure they have it all and again another wait for biopsies results.
I was hoping for a better outcome, would have been so much better if the cancer was lower grade.
Feeling a bit sad, he said to try and carry on with life as much as possible, which I want to try and do but feel some what deflated again after feeling more like my old self in the last three weeks, even though the wait was awful.
Any advice to try and keep positive with these circumstances and keep positive for family and friends.
Hi Bumblebee49. sorry to hear your results were not as hoped , but do not despair. T1 is very early stage. Although G3 is aggressive, it is the most common. A follow up TURBT is routine and not as severe as the first. Just take things one step at a time and try not to overthink things. Best wishes.
