Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Thanks Denby,I’m having a rest now.I did a lot of gardening yesterday which was tiring. It’s a lot of bending and I struggle a bit since the surgery. There are weeds coming back out at the front but I have done enough bending for today.x

  • The viewer loved the space inside and the garden. He is going to cost out how much money will be needed for the work.Apparently he has built his own house so he would be the type of person needed to renovate here.I expect it will be too much work but you never know.He took photos of the garden to show his partner later.I stayed in the garden while he looked round with the agent.Love Jane x

  • Hi Jane that sounds very positive hope it all works out for you best wishes Phil x

  • Hi Jane, this definitely sounds promising, let’s hope all goes well. Jean x

  • Thanks Phil,I don’t want to build my hopes up as I was so upset when the keen viewer found somewhere else.I have to have enough money to get somewhere smaller for myself.I don’t want to be living in the travel lodge or a bed and breakfast again.x

  • Hi Jean,Yes it was fairly positive. The estate agent was keen to get onto his next viewing as they are busy.I don’t care for the agents but if they get it sold I will happy.x

  • Hoping you get some positive news soon Jane, the limbo after a 'good' viewing is horrid.

On the weeds front, we have had some success with an electric weed burner we got on Freecycle. Not sure what they do to your bill, we have partly electric heating anyway so ours is always high. Or what they cost to buy. But it is very light to use, and effective on weeds in cracks between slabs that you can never get out by the root. And no bending at all!

  • Thanks Denby,I’m fed up with the house situation.I’d like one of the weed burners they would do a good job here. The upper steps are much older than the lower ones and are broken in places attracting the weeds. The lower steps are from 1977 and still in good condition. The house viewer pointed out that the garden bed walls need attention.I do get fed up of people criticising they are not in my financial, job  or health position and have no understanding of how tough it is.X

  • Hi Janel don’t blame you getting fed up with people pointing out problems that need sorting just trying to knock the price down hopefully be sold soon all the best Phil x
