Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hello Jane, I rarely play golf at weekends- too busy. Going out to a Turkish restaurant with friends on Saturday. Sunday/ Monday seeing children and grandchildren not forgetting Barney the crazy springer spaniel and Chip the calm, placid brown&white sheepdog. Hope you have a nice weekend with John. Garviv x

Everyone is quite right about taking it easier. (Says she, having a day off after walking too far yesterday and wearing myself out!).
But I think there's possibly value in googling what attracts buyers and doing those first eg sparkling bathrooms & kitchens (even if not all that modern), tidy rooms (but not necessarily deep cleaned so no dust, but who knows if you vacuumed?). Clean windows overlooking views, open if warm. The part of the garden nearest the house but maybe leave the bottom. Anything that makes them think 'I could enjoy living here' eg a garden chair by a table with a pretty cloth, a book and a glass of wine?
OK maybe the last is a bit obvious but I'm sure you get the idea. And if you look happy and relaxed when they come that's part of the picture too.
And something I once saw in a house that put me off at once - mouse bait in a bright red box!
Good luck and hopefully the buyers will snap it up.
Hi Latestart,
I do look at the house as a viewer might and most people have loved it. It’s the cost of repairs that puts people off but there is nothing I can do about that. I have spent money on repairs and now I have none left. I don’t even know how I will afford to move/put things into storage but the house has to be sold. My sister needs her share of the money. My sister hasn’t lost out financially as I have since mum died and she is working. It seems very unfair to me.
