Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Many thanks

Had a great time and a well needed break. Not expecting anything nasty tomorrow, just hope they ring on time, as I can't stand hanging around.

  • Lovely blooms and garden. Spent some time earlier seeding patches on lawn - second attempt. The last seed was old and I didn't manage to water enough. Overcast in London this a.m. though maybe sunny later. Better for the seed anyway. Good luck re viewings, both yours and people coming to you.

  • Good luck and hopefully a prompt call. I can't ever settle to do things whilst waiting - such an awkward feeling.

  • Well I'm pretty how things will pan out, it's just the waiting around. Barts are absolutely terrible and never on time, but at least I don't have to make a trip to town. Blush

  • Thanks Latestart,

Sun and blue sky here in Somerset. My neighbour is hammering again so it may be quieter outside. In the week the noise from the new housing construction is deafening. I’ll try and get some gardening done today. I can’t put the other rose arch up as the ground is so hard.

  • Hi,

Just giving an update. I had my phone consult with Royal Free today, bang on time. I have decided to have a partial nephrectomy on my remaining kidney, which is regarded as the "gold standard" treatment. I could have opted to have the tumour frozen off, but it requires an up front biopsy.  Now given that such tumours have a 70 percent change of being malignant I can't see the point.

I'm very relieved that things are moving on and have further face to face at the Royal Free on 18 June 2025. The tumour is still growing slowly and seems stable, so all bodes well.

  • Hi Ian. Good to know you have a positive plan in place going forward. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.

  • Hi

Yeah, it all went very well. No more active surveillance and the CSN I spoke to was really clear, precise, and very friendly. Very much like my Nurses at Barts.

The surgery doesn't bother me, I have had a lot in the past. Just happy that things are moving on in the right direction.
