Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hi Jane, I hope the viewing goes well. I've got everything crossed that you soon get a buyer.
Night night

Sunny here today which will be nice for the house viewer. The lady who viewed on Friday and loved it won’t be making an offer as they don’t have enough money for the work.I can see the house going to auction at this rate and I’ll probably end up in a pokey flat.I’d swept out the fireplace and came back in to find the Jackdaws had posted bread down the chimney.Love to all Jane xx
Yes you're right about saving money and for patients too. My first pair were custom made rigid plastic (made in USA for my then podiatrist) cost c£750 nearly 30 years ago and worked fine for 20 years. The next 3 were rigid plastic heel with custom foam middle and front £150 each and made in Scotland but only lasted 18 months each via a podiatrist in Devon. And the new ones are based on flexible soles especially for peripheral neuropathy with extra build ups for various other problems all done by new London Podiatrist cost c£170 (all costs exclude normal visit charges of course) and these should last 3 years before she needs to make me some more (we're trying some further adjustments at the moment but they're the best I've ever had). We decided that was more practical than new rigid ones now £1k from Spain.
I'm lucky to have been able to afford them but the alternative was a miserable middle and old age. Saving to NHS? Lots - probable diabetes, leg ulcers, more broken bones, clinical obesity, plus depression...
Don't worry, the right one will be along. It's a beautiful day here - just been sweeping the deck outside - lots of moss from roof as we're north facing and today was the first day dry enough to attempt it - it's quite slippery when wet and I hadn't been able to spray it with anti-moss stuff last autumn so there are also big green patches of the stuff.
Managed the worst half and will scrape the rest off next time I have energy on a dry day.
No jackdaws sadly, but the local kestrel drops in sometimes to frighten the magpies and pigeons. And we also have some green parakeets for extra exoticism.
