Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hi Jane, really sorry to hear about your uncle . You are going through a tough time , moving house and all that involves is really stressful, you must be feeling exhausted. Take care of yourself, sending you a big hug . much love angela xx
Much love Angela x
Thanks Angela,I am wiped out.I did so much work in the garden earlier in the week that I overdid it.I forget that I don’t have the stamina I had before the cystectomy.I do worry about my partner and my uncle. They have both had falls in the last few days.At least my uncle will be getting good care in hospital. He had only recently been discharged after a previous fall.I’m going to have a rest today.Love and hugs Jane xx
Hi Jane, I'm sure the hospital will assess your uncle's safety to return home. It's a standard procedure with elderly people living alone. I'll be so glad when you have sold this house, clearing it has been an awful job for you. Hope you really do take a rest today. Certainly couldn't be mowing if your weather is like ours. Snuggling indoors with a dog on the sofa kind of a day for me. Sending love Hx
It’s sunny here and I am getting the house and garden ready for the estate agent photos on Thursday.Tomorrow the archivist is supposed to be coming over to collect mum’s papers, hooray.I’ll be glad to be honouring mum’s wishes. My uncle is in a bad condition with spinal fractures and a serious infection. We are all so concerned about him and upset to think about his situation.Better get back to work as there is so much to do.Love to all Jane xx
Thank you all for the hugs.Got up early and washed kitchen, hall and bathroom floors.Waiting for the archivist. The house is looking better from the front as I spent yesterday weeding and sweeping.I don’t like this humid weather. It’s tiring.Love to all Jane xx
Hi Jane, It has been pretty awful for my lad , I havent seen him this unwell ever. They were worried at one point his tonsils would block his airway, saturdsy night i watched over him all night. The strong antibiotics are miracle workers , 4 days on them and he feels alot better and sounds alot better. I just feel pretty shattered and a bit virally tbh .it was right decision to not have bcg this week, i definitely wouldnt have coped. Anyhow, we can see the light now and thank god for medicine. You have been having a tough time yourself. Sending you a hug Jane. Keep your strength up xx
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela,I hope you both feel much better soon. These strong antibiotics are usually pretty effective. It was definitely the right decision to cancel the BCG.My uncle seems a little better but is on oxygen and in a neck brace.I’m really relieved that the archivist has collected mum’s papers as it was her wish that they were left at the record office.I’m pleased he agreed to accept them. That is a big weight off my shoulders and more space in the downstairs bathroom.I am finally getting somewhere after 18 months hard slog.Love Jane xxx
