Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hey Denby, I used to call my dad the Aged P. I seem to remember the nick name used in a Charles Dickens novel that was on the b+w tele when I was young. Hope your mum feels better soon Jane x.
Hi Luce,Mum has been in hospital since Saturday evening. They are treating her for a suspected urine infection but her sodium levels are very low and she is having problems walking.Mum might be moved to the rehab unit to build up her strength.I am struggling with sciatica so it was difficult to push mum in her wheelchair, she was unable to walk just before she was admitted.I hope you are ok ? Love Jane xx
Hi Jane,
I’m sorry to hear your news. I do hope the hospital can get to the root of your mum’s problems and she is soon feeling much better.
How awful that you are suffering from sciatica, perhaps you can rest whilst your mum is in hospital.
I’m ok thanks, been to the hairdresser’s today so that’s been a boost. All very safe, temperature check, mask, disposal gowns etc.
Having heard that masks are going to be compulsory in shops from next week I’ve decided to make them a fashion accessory and have now got a selection of nice patterned material ones. I’ve also got the medical type ones but don’t really like wearing those.
Take care, love Luce x
Hi Maria,Sadly there is no visiting allowed apart from in exceptional circumstances. It’s hard not being able to see mum as I know she will be getting agitated.I am allowed to drop clothes off at reception so I’ll do that tomorrow as I’m going to the breast clinic. It will be good to catch up with my sister but we are both concerned about mum.Are you still feeling unwell ? Love Jane xx
Hi Jane I am so sorry to read this about your mum I do hope she will soon be feeling better. I am also sorry to read you are suffering with sciatica I had it once it was awfull .
