Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Hi Rily, Enjoy your break. Odds on you will have a great time. Garviv

  • Hi,A misty photo taken a couple of years ago

  • Trying to tidy up and get a few more things boxed up before my aunt’s visit. In despair over mum’s research papers. They are so muddled and there must be at least a thousand to sort if not more.It was such a huge task sorting out all the Bath royal literary and scientific institution papers. It’s not a job anyone can help me with either.Apart from the professor she worked for who is losing his sight I’m the only one who knew what she was researching. There is already a large amount to go to the record offices. It’s like winter again here today.Love to you all Jane xx

  • Thanks for the hug Teasswill.Labelled some plastic wallets alphabetically and have started filing.Time for a tea break now.

  • Thanks Denby.Aunt H has been a great support through the cancer and since mum died. She is the youngest of mum’s 8 siblings.I’m hoping Sarah will pop in when aunt is here as they haven’t seen each other since mum’s funeral.Hard to believe that is over a year ago.

  • Gosh, one of 9! Must be a lot of relatives stemming from that. I've been looking at some old photos from our family - a brother & sister married sister & brother so lots of double cousins.

  • Yes lots of relatives on mum’s side and very few on dad’s.Dad’s family was large in Edwardian times but gradually dwindled.I had to ask all my relatives if they had any photos of dad as we have so few.He died when I was 12.

  • Mum’s research notes are a nightmare.I can’t read her writing in some places and she used initials.Bless her she hasn’t made anything easy for me.

  • Aaaarrrgh,I could scream.Everytime I think I have mum’s papers all together ready to contact the record offices and museum I find more. The papers are breeding along with the cardboard boxes.Love Jane x

  • Hello Jane, I can sympathise with you. Clearing my mum's bungalow I was forever finding drawers that I never new existed. Needless to say they were full of papers and other stuff collected over many years. The trouble is I couldn't just throw it willy nilly because I was never sure if there was anything of value in there. Took forever. Take care Chris.
