Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Too true
When my husband had a scan it showed emphysema and bilateral lung nodules, we really thought we can’t cope with this as well as dealing with bladder cancer, he had to have a repeat scan in 3 months (September) which showed no change, another one due in June, it all seems a roller coaster ride, as you say onwards and upwards. Jean, x
That all sounds pretty reassuring. Most important your team are being vigilant and god bless our nurses.x
Hi Garviv,I hope you dried out quickly.Overcast again here.I E mailed a tree surgeon and he is coming over on Saturday to have a look and give me a quote.I used to do gardening for elderly people in my teens but I can’t remember now who arranged it.Love Jane x
Hi Jane,
Yeah, it's more of a disappointment than a major worry. Most nodules are non cancerous and I already have one, which hasn't changed. Usually the smaller and uniformed they are the less likely they are to be malignant and in the vast majority of cases they're nothing to worry about.
Barts don't seem unduly worried and my CRN sees to think it will be ok, along with the Macmillian Nurse I spoke to yesterday. I was a bit miffed with Registrar, as she seemed to be in a bit of hurry and didn't explain things too well. However, her call yesterday was a lot more sedate. Even if I didn't have a history of cancer I'd still have to have an early scan, despite the fact that the prognosis seems good.
Oh well staying with 6 monthly checks for the time being. Onwards and upwards.xx
Hi Ian,It’s bound to be a disappointment and a slight anxiety when you hoped to move to yearly scans.I have another scan in Nov and then I’m supposed to move to annual.I’m not that happy about it since the last scans have shown the problem with my kidneys. My new urologist says we don’t have to worry about them yet but that didn’t exactly fill me with confidence.I have faith in my old uro’s as they have all known and treated me for years prior to cancer. It would be nice to see someone in person but apparently they have decided that I should only have phone appointments.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
