So sorry for your loss Teasswill. I was 47 when my dad died and I felt like 4. I have found you carry your mum’s voice and her views on the world with you through your life. Mine died in 1981 but I can still hear her, particularly ticking me off for bad behavior. I have great respect for your mum’s desire for independence. It sounds like the ending she would prefer. Dear Teasswill, I can only join with all our other forum friends in sending love and prayers to you at this so sad time. At least you did find her, and have not been left with as many 'what-if's' as if you had not.

I do feel for you with all the beastly admin to tackle and hope it goes as smoothly as such things can despite the remains of lockdown. And that you are able to arrange whatever you would all like in the way of funeral, memorial etc.
