Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Your mother certainly accumulated a lot of things, it must be hard sorting through it all but hopefully you are getting there and can concentrate on yourself, good luck. Happy and healthy new year to you, when I read people’s messages for a happy and healthy new year I can’t help but think that everyone on these forums are totally wishing this will indeed be a healthy new year, let’s hope and pray that this is the case. Heavy rain here and strong winds.I’m at the top of the house sorting.I have made decisions on where items are going but I haven’t found it easy.I’m going through my own stuff today.I’m sad to be selling my old photograph collection.I’m aiming to get rid of most of it,I’ll keep a handful of my favourite albums as I look at those often.I hope you are all keeping well and warm ? Love Jane xxx
Hi Jane. It must be hard to get rid of things you have had for so long. Been a miserable wet day up here too, but not too cold. On the plus side, I have just been to Wethers. Sale on, and beer at 99p a pint. Seems like only five minutes ago I was saying the same this time last year. Best wishes.
Hi rily,Good you have been able to enjoy cheaper pints.Yes I’m sad to be getting rid of some items.I’m getting a big box of art and sewing things to donate to a local group that works with children.Luckily I have a few bits of the sort that they need.I really hope they can make good use of them.Love Jane xx
Hi Jane. We live in a big Victorian 5 bedroom house. We moved here when we had four kids, a mother in law and a dog. 30 odd years ago. All moved out now although some have come and gone over the years. Just the two of us now rattling around . We know we need to downsize but love living here and the hassle of downsizing worries me as we have so much to get rid of, so I understand what you are going through .Friends from London who stayed with us said our house would be worth millions in London, but we are not in London. We live in a seaside town where the once big B and B Guest houses have been turned in to Multiple occupancy houses, so the value is rock bottom. The wife wants a bungalow. Best wishes.
Lovely to hear you're making the most of the cheap beer I was informed in town this morning that breakfast muffin and tea or coffee is £1.99 for two weeks ..good value .. the donations will be greatly appreciated Jane and you will feel happier knowing they are being enjoyed.. I volunteer in barnados and I love to see the wonderful things that are donated ..take care all I enjoy reading your little stories x
I don’t want to move really but there is no way I can buy my sister out so the house has to be sold.In some ways I’m looking forward to moving somewhere more manageable. This house is Edwardian not huge but on 4 floors and the garden is over 100 ft long. It’s been too much since cancer.
Happy new year Jane, let's hope this is a good year with many positive changes and new goals. Hopefully you will find a new home for yourself this year.
Wet and windy in Kent with train strikes causing many problems for husband trying to get to work. Keep warm.
Thank you.A very happy new year to you and your family.
