How are we all doing ?

I once sent my sister out to buy some milk and she came back with 2 enormous comfy grey chairs.She spotted them in a charity shop window.Of course the milk got forgotten about but the chairs we had for years.My step father believed in a Spartan existence so we had no comfy chairs but had to sit on benches.The house was freezing so we were cold and uncomfortable.I value warmth and comfort now and so does my sister.

Sorry to hear your family is in quarantine.I hope someone can advise you on a sewing machine.I still haven’t used ours.My late mum hadn’t had it long when a neighbour borrowed it for years ! I’ve finally got it back and intend to use it although I haven’t used one since school.Jane x

Ooh ooh ooh Rhododendron Luteum!!! Just seeing your lovely pic recalls to me the unique hot-cross-bun-y scent, which I absolutely love though I've never owned one. My dad used to tow us round all sorts of rhododendron hot-spots like Kew Gardens, though I was always eager to go along. And there were some wild in a part of Epping Forest near High Beech where the old Paul's Nursery had been returned to the Forest many years ago. We used to go up there to see what there was, and once heard a grasshopper warbler there in the thickets.
