Afternoon everyone,
im still in a lot of discomfort due to BCG #18…The urology team think it’s the prostate inflammation rather than the bladder…I’ve been put on antibiotics for 2-6 weeks depending on how they work for me…my last set of BCG in September has been cancelled..they have said that the discomfort is out weighing the benefits of the BCG and as my quality of life hasn’t improved they have stopped it, I’m on surveillance from now on…not sure how I feel to be honest…gutted I couldn’t complete the whole series but at the same time I’m not living at the moment…in so much discomfort that I’m not working, cant even walk the dog..so I suppose I should be thankful I got this far…im already looking forward to some sleep and to be pain free…
Thanks to everyone on here for your support along the way…now it’s my time to support you all…
love to all. Nigel xx
I'm well thanks. Yeah getting up during the night constantly really does get to you. Makes you knackered and unable to function properly.
Move went very well thanks, loving the new area, lot quieter, no traffic jams (yet) and checking out the local pubs. There is a brewery (Nethergate Brewery) just down the road, with a tap room etc.I do like a real ale.
Hope you're pain free soon and good luck with the getting fit etc.
Trevor
Wow that sounds great Trevor, im so happy for you…we used to go out on St George’s day and visit all the pubs around the city, but we would only drink real ales…spitfire was a nice pint..
its certainly been a journey up until now mate…I suppose I had to stop having the BCG at some point, it’s just come one step early than expected…
oh man, I am so sorry this is still giving you a bad time . Hopefully the antibiotics do the trick and you get some peace. dont give yourself a hard time ok ?You did 18 Nigel and that is brilliant. some hospitals stop at 15 i have heard. I suppose it will take a while to used to being on surveillance. I hope you can relax and be reassured they are monitoring you. Take care my good friend , keep in touch x
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela, I knew it wasn’t just a case of letting it take its course…the pain is so bad, hopefully the antibiotics will work for me..im looking forward to getting back into life…
I’ll still be on here, probably more than ever…how’s you getting on?
shoulder on the mend?
you must be due your next set.
Hi Nigel, pain is really draining isnt it !
my shoulder is getting on my nerves lol, but I am off to jersey next friday for a week , then next set when i get back . tbh i am dreading it , just not going to think about it for now.
FA CUP tomorrow, my lad is at wembley with my brother lucky thing. I shall be an armchair pundit haha
Much love Angela x
It’s 2.30 and I’m wide awake in bed..still up for the toilet loads..I’ve only seen Spurs win two trophies live, 1984 uefa cup final second leg at white hart lane and Wembley when we beat Chelsea in the carling cup…two great days/nights..I used to love cup final day, remember when the build up started early in the day..grandstand and world of sport used to make a day of it…loved it…enjoy Jersey…it’s good to have a break from all this..the minute I can exercise pain free I’m gonna get super fit again..I’ve already been looking at a new running watch…how many BCGs you got to go, is this your last three? I hope it all goes well…
ok let’s see if I can get a couple of hours sleep…
cheers as always.Nigel xx
