My husband has been taking Mirabegron for several weeks now and has a pain in his chest on the left hand side just under a rib. I have read that this a side effect of Mirabegron and I would like to know if any one else has had this problem. He has had several tests by different doctors as he has a nephrostophy tube just above the pain but none of them seem concerned about the pain. He has had several courses of antibiotics but the pain is still there. He is at a loss to to know what to do next.
Hi,
I've been taking mirabegron and solifenacin for a few months now and have not experienced any problems with them that you have explained.
Sometimes I find they work a little too well and have to use in/out catheters. My main problems I have with the meds are I find I sweat an awful lot (unless it's my hormones? I am almost 45 now lol!)
If you haven't had a reply from your CNS then maybe talk to your GP as soon as you can. If it is the mirabegron tablets then maybe switching to solifenacin succinate or something else instead may help?
I hope he feels a bit brighter soon!

Good morning Kitty.
Thank you for your email and your advice on Mirabegron. He did manage to speak to someone from Cancer Care and he was told that he could come off the tablets as they were just a temporary measure.
He was told last week after a cystoscopy that the tumour has returned and is now waiting for an appointment to have it "scraped away". He has been through so much and it is one step forward and two backwards. I have been concerned at how low his mood has become and yesterday insisted that he went to see his GP who has prescribed antidepressants. Hopefully he will start feeling better when they kick in.
Thank you for your kind reply and kind regards
Oh my word! I'm sorry to hear that!
It's not unusual for our moods to take a battering with everything that were going through. Especially when it's difficult to get in contact with medical personnel and get the help we need. It gets tiring being stuck in limbo all the time.
Good luck with the treatments, I hope they go well for him.
Maybe take some time for you both to do something special, get a couples massage or go out for a dinner or a night away in a hotel or something?
Take a break from all the stress and do something different.
All my best!
Kitty xx
