Hi Everyone

Went as well I was expecting.  G3 pTA , another TURBT in a couple of weeks and BCG therapy over 2 years, 21 doses.  Not really sure how I'm feeling about the whole thing, but the NHS team were very good and explained everything I wanted to know and reasured where necessary. I guess I'll let it all sink in and of course, I am relivied as it could have been worse.

You guys really helped with your previous replies and guidance on questions.

thanks

Rob

  • Hi Rob. Although you were expecting it, it still comes as a shock when it is confirmed. Saying that, you now have a plan going forward and something positive to focus on. A follow up TURBT is usually a lot easier than the first. Just to mop up and `confirm the diagnosis. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

Much love and hope to everyone past future and present.

I also hate autocorrect and hope people can make sense out of my posts when it changes half the words I type.

  • Thanks Rily. Yes, having the plan in place make a big difference.

  • Thanks Simon.  I'mm normally quite positive and hav a good grasp of what will happen and the various outcomes.  See how it goes.

  • Well Rob, join the club, G3 pTA is exactly what Mr Denby had that was back around 2017, he's been clear ever since although with the usual couple of 'red patch scares' and a recent biopsy for a thickened area. But that too was non cancer.

  • Hi Rob,It’s a lot to take in but you can concentrate on treatment now.We are all here for you.Love Jane x

  • Thanks Jane. Yeah, let's have at it.

  • G3 PTA here also Rob.

The second TURBT isn't as intrusive as the first although the bugger's still kept me in overnight.

I'm scheduled for 27 BCGs (18 done), so still have another 18 months before mine finishes...

Not sure why some trust's do different BCG instillations but I've heard that some are going to 18 due to the positives Vs the negatives of doing more... Wish mine would go to 18 or 21 lol.

So far so good for me, two years in and my January biopsy came back with no reoccurrence.

    Wishing you all the best.
