Cleaning of night drainage bag

After emptying each morning I immediately wash through with warm/hot water from the bathroom hot water tap. Leave for a minute or two while dressing, drain out and leave to dry. Change bag weekly, never had a problem since my surgery a year ago.

To clean a night drainage bag, rinse it with warm water and mild soap after each use. You can also use a disinfecting solution like vinegar to sanitize it. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and let it air dry completely to prevent bacteria buildup. Regularly check for any damage and replace it as needed.
