Good evening. A quick question to all urostomy bag users, how do you clean the night drainage bag? I’ve been using warm/hot water to flush it out every morning and then hang it to dry. My stoma nurses have previously mentioned using Milton as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. X
To clean a night drainage bag, rinse it with warm water and mild soap after each use. You can also use a disinfecting solution like vinegar to sanitize it. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and let it air dry completely to prevent bacteria buildup. Regularly check for any damage and replace it as needed.
