I wont bore you with the whole story but I was diagnosed with aggressive CIS bladder cancer early stage.
I immediately told the Consultant I inject for Crohns Disease and my immune system is low to no reaction
After i spelt out my injection to the Cancer nurse she took no action
Two days before the treatment i told The senior Cancer nurse again no reaction till the morning of my treatment when she phoned and said it had raised a red flag but I may still get the treatment. If id had not said anything they would have given it to me and the likelihood is I would have got TB.I am now under a different hospital trust and been fortunate to have received ive been told first time in this country a combination of Gemcitabine and Docetaxel.I had biopsies taken yesterday and it looked pretty good
If an adult or a child has a low immune system you must not have BCG MMR or flu spray up the nose as they are all live. There is no doubt hospital trusts are really bad at identifying this or even being aware of it BEWARE
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
