Hello everybody.
Haven't been on the forum for a long while although had great help on here when initially diagnosed with non invasive bladder cancer. Had 2 x TURBT (one was a more preventative type of red patches) Had 2 x mitomycin treatments of 6 weeks, with 6 months approx in between. Have had ongoing 3 months cystoscopy check ups. Last two were 6 monthly.
However during the last few months I am starting noticing more urge incontinence and slight stinging when peeing. I was wondering if anybody else who has had mitomycin treatment in the past has experience of this? Or is it a case of frequent cystoscopies that cause irritation to the bladder ?
Any experiences relating to incontinence greatly appreciated.
Kathy
Hi. Can't comment as far as possible mitomycin effects, but could it be an infection? Worth following up with GP.
As far as incontinence goes, if severe enough to use a pad, online specialist suppliers have better choice and are often cheaper than local shops. (I use ageuk.)
