Hi all,
We went a couple of days ago to get Dad's TURBT results...it wasn't good news :-(
His tumor was large at 5cm, and is made up if 3 different types of cells, small cell, Neuroendocrine and the most common transitional cell.
It has spread through wall into fatty tissue.
We are now moving teams to a specialist hospital for a PET scan, to see if it has spread to other parts, if it has he will not be eligible for bladder removal.
It was an incredibly difficult conversation and we all left pretty numb.
Has anyone got any good news stories regarding small cell cancer in bladder??
Or successful treatment without bladder removal, like radiotherapy and chemo with Neuroendocrine Small Cell cancer?
Thank you xx
Hi 2ndDaughter44 . Sorry to hear your Dad's results were not as good as you hoped. My tumour was through to the fatty tissue but just TCC. Small cell is a bit more difficult to deal with so hopefully it is confined to the bladder in order to treat it successfully. Best wishes.
