BCG CANCELLED TODAY

Missing one week shouldn't be a problem and they will just do it next week. Far better to not be ill with something else and have the discomfort of BCG too.

Morning Angela, so sorry you’re not well. During my initial 6 week instillations on week 2 I developed a UTI Infection which lasted 2 weeks. Because I had missed 2 instillations they started again. In the end I had 7 instillations. Have a word with your CNS if you are worried. I’m sure missing one session will not harm your treatment. In the meantime rest up dear friend and get well. Golf now then packing for our holiday. Garviv

Hi Garviv, its such a nuisance when i got myself all geared up mentally as well. CNS has just called to say its best to cancel today, its nothing to worry about. She did mention patients getting uti’s that have to postpone. Anyhow, back to bed for a snooze .

Enjoy your round of Golf Garviv. Packing for holidays sounds like a treat. I shall virtually wave you off on the plane tomorrow. Absolutely green with envy haha. Have a wonderful time dear friend

Sorry to hear you are unwell Angela, I missed a treatment during the induction as it was Good Friday my nurse said not to worry it wouldn't make any difference. Hope you feel better soon. Lynn xx

Hi Angela,I know what you mean about preparing yourself mentally for a procedure.I’ve had several cystoscopies cancelled in the past due to infection.Once I turned up to a TURBT not knowing I had a temperature.The department was short staffed and my consultant stepped in to help.He went off to find a large fan for me.After the fan,paracetamols and a liase with the anaesthetist they went ahead with the procedure.Get well soon.Love Jane xx
