hi everyone. I had a rigid cystoscopy today. The good part is the original tumour has not come back. But there is a small 1cm red patch they have decided to biopsy. I suppose I’m just wondering if others have any wise words! I have an appointment for results in two weeks. I’m guessing stay of google and try to stay calm might be a plan? Thanks xx

  • I just wanted to say that I wish you well with the results JoyceF (and the only advice I would have had, would be to stay off google - something I find difficult myself).
Not a recommendation but the only way that I have stayed sane through my husbands testing, is by taking up doing jigsaw puzzles. It has been the best distraction and I lose hours once I start.
    take care xx

  • Aw thank you. Amidst all your dealing so kind to try to help me!! Actually a jigsaw might be a good idea!! I play games in my phone at the moment and can’t think about scary stuff when I’m collecting stuff and trying to build areas!! A jigsaw sounds soothing!! Xx

  • Hi Joyce,Try not to worry, red patches are very common and most are not cancer related but they biopsy them to make sure.I had them regularly for over 30 years before cancer.A lot of people on here have had them and the majority are due to inflammation.Love Jane x

  • Aw thank you so much for replying Jane. I’m going to sit with this thought. I know you have had a long journey and I hope you are continuing to do well xx

  • I’m fine cancer wise thanks.Just a problem with my heart at the moment.xx

  • Aw I’m sorry. Are you getting good help? I send you warm wishes and love xx

  • I’m just waiting for a heart monitor xx
