Hello everyone
So after a lovely Birthday weekend with family and friends I started my maintenance BCG today. It was great to see my CNS Anne, such a lovely lady. Number 7 went in with no issues, kept in for 2 hours, then bleaching and drinking lots. Stinging and pain on peeing at the moment but had painkillers.
I was given my biopsy results today and, hooray! they are all clear. I have been so stressed since the end of July and feel like I can breathe a little now.
So I'm in the "I had red patches on BCG that turned out to be nothing club" (as coined by Leo ) as well as the "Monday morning pants off club" (as coined by me
)
Sending lots of love and positive vibes ️ to everyone.
A very relieved Ade xx
Hi Frank123, I was the same as you T1G3 with CIS, I have had red patches twice now, both times all clear , just BCG inflammation. I am on number 11 BCG tomorrow. It is a huge relief when it comes back all clear. Good luck with your biopsy in november. Have a look at my profile ,I have put my experience to date to give folk an idea of what can occur.
Much love Angela x
Hi Ade, hows the “pants off club “ today? I hope its ok for you and reactions are kind. Its the 6 hours of stinging thats toe curling for me, I was a little bit fluey after last weeks , and the fatigue i find hard frustrating ,but a small price to pay isnt it . keep in touch. I am off to shops now.
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela
"Pants Off Club" went fine this morning, all thanks to lovely Ann my BCG Nurse. It was a bit stingy going in but ok Just got home and waiting my 2 hours before commencing the bleaching Hoping that the stinging as it comes out is OK too. You are quite right, it is a small price to pay if it means we can preserve our bladders! I'm keeping everything crossed that it works for you, me and everyone else on BCG on the forum.
Enjoy your shopping trip.
Love Ade ️ xx
Hi Frank123
Good to hear that your maintenance BCG has gone well for you. It does take physical and mental stamina to cope with this therapy, but I just can not contemplate a Cystectomy, so fingers crossed for all of us on BCG that it works for us.
Sending you hugs and positive vibes ️ for a clear result in November.
Love Ade xx
