Evening all. I'm a week past 9th dose of BCG. I have bloodshot red sore eyes. I have read that RA can be a rare side effect of the treatment just wondered if anyone has had heard of experience of it. My GP was non plussed so going to eye clinic tomorrow. If it is caused by the BCG and it doesn't respond to eye drops it may mean the BCG is discontinued. Worst case scenario. Only happened after number 9. Thanks for any views take care all. Andy
Thanks Leo, I remember seeing that before but I translated the graphic as the number of single malts you should have with each side effect. That's gone very well and maybe explains my bleary eyes. Current advice is go over the counter and if it doesn't clear go back.
Well it cleared up after treating with over the counter eye drops. Guessing it was an over reactive immune response rather than anything to do with BCG. Discussed over the phone with consultant and said I was happy to carry on BCG which I have done. The red eye thing is v v rare so hopefully you can continue. Best of luck
