Hello all, first post so my apologies if I’m not doing this correctly. Would love if someone can explain this report to me? I think it’s possibly stage 1 bladder? This is my fathers report and as I understand it, the sample was taken from his prostate during surgery he had the last week of December. He’s had a lot of kidney/bladder/prostate issues that frankly, he’s neglected for quite some time.
Any information/advice would be very much appreciated.

Hello MyDaddio and welcome to the group. Firstly we are not medics and can only go on our experiences which may not be accurate. This appears to be a report on a prostate procedure so not something we are familiar with but it looks like they identified a bladder tumour. T1 is the stage which shows the tumour has just gone through the bladder lining in to the lamina propria which is the next layer. Urothelial carcinoma is the most common type of bladder cancer. It would be much better if you could speak with the doctor treating your father to get a full explanation rather than for non medical professionals to try to interpret medical reports, which we are not trained to do. I hope you can do this, with your dad’s permission of course.

I’m glad you will be seeing the doctor to get answers. The community guidelines actually don’t allow photographs of medical reports for the very reason of members not being medical experts and perhaps giving incorrect information and advice even though of course they want to help.
