  • My husband had bcg treatment for 7th time came out the room said the nurse had hurt him became very ill and was back in hospital within 2 hours had sepsis shock .we read that he should be treated as if tb was present but did not receive it and died 6 weeks later in icu .he was on life support through all that time .Just wondered if anyone had a similar experience

  • Oh Nipper49. What a terrible thing to happen. Really sorry to hear about your husband. Sending sincere condolences. I've not really come across anything similar on here sorry.

  • I’m so sad and sorry for your loss Nipper. My sincere condolences.Jane x

    1. We have already raised our concerns with pals and had a meeting with consultants unfortunately it was a waste of time .As I said to my children it was just round one .I'm not done .so unfair they just say they can't agree or disagree with us
  • That is a terrible story, my heart goes out to you, BCG administration can be a bit of a routine production line , which belies rare but very serious risks. Wishing you the very best

  • No harm in getting a medical negligence lawyer sharpish to see if there is a case to press

  • Everything I read on line says when this happens they should administer drugs against tb ASAP because results from tests can be negative. They didnt do this  they didnt give him that chance . I will take it further .There other things that we as a family are not happy about .thank you for your answer
