Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you all for being so kind to me through my husband's journey.
Sadly we were told last Friday that his cancer has progressed too far, too fast, and immunotherapy would shorten his life rather than extend it. We have been referred for palliative care and believe it's just a few weeks now.
This journey is and has been a whirlwind, from intrusive tests in April and early May to confirmed diagnosis at the end of May with the hope of treatment, given it could not be cured, to this in the middle of July.
My wonderful husband has been in hospital for the past week and wanted to come home so we can be together as much as possible, with our children, grandchildren, family and friends. We are all devastated. I am scared of what the next few weeks hold, and cannot bear to think beyond that.
But, you all have been brilliant with your guidance, kindness and support, I cannot thank you enough.
I wish you all the very best.
Neat xx
Sounds like what he needs is his home and loving family. Take pictures or moving camera to record all of your family being with him in the next days. You have my prayers.
So sorry to hear that wishing you both all the strength and courage in the world.

My name is Simon. But Si is also fine, in fact you can call me anything you like it’s only a name after all
Much love and hope to everyone past future and present.
I also hate autocorrect and hope people can make sense out of my posts when it changes half the words I type.
Hi Neat
My heart breaks for you and all your family
It is the news none of us want to hear
You are in my thoughts and prayers
Much love Tina x
Hi Neat, Sorry to hear this devastating news, I just hope he gets out soon to be home with yourself and family being the most important thing, try to stay strong I know it not the easiest thing, being on a months prognosis I should know that is only a prediction and many live longer, not looking beyond being the right approach, hoping he is in good comfort and make the most of your important time together.
All my best wishes Dave
Dear Neatie,
I am so sorry about this. When my mother was in this position we talked and talked, sadly I was too young then to talk about important things. But I hope that you and the family are able to do that and enjoy each day you have together.
All the best and don't forget to take care of yourself. There are Macmillan resources for relatives too and also you can keep in touch here.
