Hi all, anyone have any experience of the heated mitomycin bladder instillation. Its likely I will be offered this in the next 4 weeks.

I have managed to keep working since being diagnosed last July 2022. I had to have time off for the turbts. With the bcg I normally work from home the day after and rest up as much as I can, normally feel bit tired then back to work. Its an admin role so not strenuous. That's how it's been for 9 Bcg treatment and three mitomycin. Hope the next three go as well this month. Not looking forward to it again but I know I need to have it to try and keep the cancer returning.
Hi Yavapi, the waiting is quite awful at times isnt it. Its not knowing whats going to happen . I can go from optimism to feeling down in a heartbeat somedays. Luckily those down days are fewer and in between I am taking one day at a time. I remind myself that I have been given today and it is a gift to treasure. I try to keep busy mentally, ( physically can be tricky somedays) planning stuff, doing crosswords, reading, music and even video games. I treat myself to the football . I dont have bladder problems in that I dont get urgency or leakage so somedays I actually forget for a few hours that i was ever diagnosed and that is bliss . One day at a time is my mantra and I hope your partners treatment goes ahead and works well.
much love to you Angela x

Will do good luck to you too. Have you already had the Bcg and now being offered the heated mitomycin?
I have just read your profile and realised you have recently had the bcg in August. Did you have the 6 induction.
Hi, I had the first of the induction and then caught covid which on top of having long covid left me feeling total fatigue. It took 3 weeks to feel like I was beginning to recover. My urology nurscided it may be too risky to start bcg again as my immune system was getting a battering . They just decided that the flexi cystoscopy was the best next step and depending on what they find, any t
py would be the mitomycin. The flexi is on Oct 24th so fingers crossed there has been no recurrence
Its good to talk , thanks bumblebee 49 x

Hi Jane, it has been really tough over the past few weeks. The long covid symptoms are all back again ! I am heartbroken over the loss of my beautiful dog Izzy, she was such a joy in our lives and the house feels so different without her.
I think the nurse is right about giving the bcg a miss. I hope all of this is going to be temporary . Just to be getting some treatment would ease my mind of worry, but I am daily practising one day at a time and seeing each day as a new chance .
How are you Jane ? I know the house is on the market and you are busy , but how are you in yourself ?
much love to you xx
