My elderly mother has been diagnosed with bladder cancer which has spread to her bowel she’s just come out of hospital on palliative care it’s only me looking after her but today she’s just passed blood in her urine is this something that happens with the cancer or should we be concerned about it
Hi Dippydolly . Sorry to hear Mum's cancer has spread. It is not uncommon to have occasional blood in urine with bladder cancer, but it is always best to let the medics know and ask for advice. In the meantime try and encourage Mum to drink as plenty of water if she can to keep things flushed out. Best wishes.
