Absolutely gutted they've rang me and cancelled my appointment which was 7th August I'm so upset now got to wait in fear longer

Oh, how awful for you. Hope you can find some distracting activities in the meantime. Have you got a new date? Never does any harm to politely chivvy up via the consultant's secretary, to make sure you are not forgotten. Best wishes.
