I had RC on March 1st and a subsequent call from my consultant to confirm positive news from histology that no evidence of cancer remains. However soon after that had urosepsis and then when recovered, a kidney infection again treated with Antibiotics. Now being told by GP of several slight abnormalities in bloods inc slightly raised calcium, liver, mild anemia but inflammation markers coming down and renal function improving… more bloods to monitor.. Is this common after RC or sepsis / kidney infection..Are these slight “abnormalities” important ? Just more to worry about…
Seems often to be the way after RC, two steps forward, one back. Good that they are monitoring to get on top of any issues that crop up. GP will be less knowledgable than urology dept about the importance of these results. If only slight, unlikely to be worrying, but probably needs watching. Best wishes for continuing recovery.
