Hi, I am waiting for a second look at my bladder, to be under anaesthetic. Had TURBT removing T1, G3 from bladder on 29th September. Cancer on ureter will need ureter removing along with it's associated bladder; this to be two weeks after bladder wash out, as long as no more cancer is found in bladder. They really want to take bladder out as well but I am opting to hold onto it as long as possible.
I am in Southampton area, just wondering what waiting period I might be looking at for those procedures.
Cheers, Adrian
Six weeks after my TURBT I am seeing blood in my urine again. (Didn't have much just after the op.)
Waiting still for wash out then, two weeks later, ureter and kidney removal. Fear this blood indicates return of cancer to my bladder. Neither consultant I have met with has even mentioned chemo.
Hi
Chemo is not always necessary, but you can have it before, or after surgery. It is not uncommon to have bleeds some time after the TURBT. I would suggest contacting your Nurse, or one of the Macmillian Nurses online just in case. I had my bladder removed 5 years ago and one kidney removed (Nothing to do with cancer) and have been fine since that time, but each case is different.
