Hi there. I had combo bcg emda/mitomycin last year and maintenance bcg in March. There was a recurrence in July so I was given emda mitomycin for 6 weeks as the bcg gave me arthropathy and made me feel like death warmed up. I finished emda 2 weeks ago and I feel 10 times worse than with the bcg although bladder doesn't feel too bad. I feel so tired and unwell like I have no strength at all. I have a constant pain in my flank which may or may not be due to my kidney cyst. Terrible headaches and my tongue feels like like it's swollen like if I've drank something too hot. My limbs feel like they're sandbags. Waiting to hear from GP but I feel really scared and depressed. I also have chronic lymphocytic leukemia but that's on the wait and watch approach but I've been wondering if that could affect my BC treatment.
Hi NathS. Sorry to hear you are not feeling great. We don't come across this treatment combo on here very often, so not much help sorry. Maybe an obvious question, but have you had your wee tested for an infection? Maybe worth dropping a sample off. Best wishes.
