Been put in hospital with Kidney infection and raging temperature spikes. This 18 months post neoblabber. Others had to deal with this?
Sorry to hear of your infection. I’ve had only two infections in my 5 years with a neobladder. The first was 5 1/2 weeks after my RC just before they removed the Foley catheter and the second was when I was catheterized for my double knee replacement surgery ( they used an under sized Foley (#12) instead of a #18 ( which you need to deal with the mucus ) I had to educate the staff at the orthopaedic hospital as to what the heck a neobladder was. Anyway ,mucus back up can inhibit the kidneys from draining properly and that is why they are always checking our creatine levels and GFR readings. Kidney problems are what you have to be wary of with neobladders.Orillia.
