Blood in urine

Hi all, having previously been treated for breast cancer. While at a clinic I have twice had blood in my urine. Now being referred to a specialist to get further investigation, to see why. I know I should not have looked up the internet for causes of “blood in urine” but I did and I’m not feeling good about the results.  Not had any pain passing urine etc

looking for some advice if any available and hopefully some good outcomes.

thanks

Betsy

  • Hi  and welcome to the group, although sorry to hear of your concerns. You are obviously aware that blood in urine is a sign of bladder cancer, but there can be other reasons.  Firstly, be aware that bladder cancer can be treated successfully and many here can tell you that. Good to know you have been referred to urology. The main test is a flexible cystoscopy (Camera) which will show any abnormalities . A simple and painless procedure. Anything untoward will be pointed out.  Feel free to ask any questions. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Hi

Stay away from Dr Google unless it is a trustworthy site. Blood in the urine can be from a number of sources and not necessarily cancer. As others have said, most bladder cancers can be treated successfully, but try not to put the cart before the horse. Come on here anytime you feel low, need help, or just want a chat. You are more than welcome.

It doesn't matter where you go, there you are
