For those that remebered, I am having pain in my hip, particularly at night & when laying down. No pain meds ae working.Doue to my history, the GP booked an X-Ray for me, plus the CT scan I had Tuesday, was extended to include the hips. I have also been in touch with a physiotherapist. The pain at night is enough to stop me sleeping. The only relief is getting up & sitting in a chair. I slept in the chair for a few hours last night.
The X-Ray results are that no lesions have been found, just general wear & tear.
I'm now awaiting the CT results.
Chemo has destroyed my veins so much that it took them 2 hours to canulate me. Eventually getting an A&E doctor to do it.
Hi Coojee,I’m happy to hear that it’s not cancer but I do empathise.I already had arthritis in my hands, feet and hips but in December following an MRI it was found in my spine.Like you the pain is worse lying down.I was advised that swimming would be the best form of exercise and I do intend to go.My mother had severe arthritis and my sister has it too.We all had hyper mobile joints when younger.I hope the physio can help.I was given some exercises that help.Best wishes Jane
Sorry that you are in such discomfort. Just lately, I seem to get more sleep sitting in the lounge watching TV, then I wake up often about 2am, and go upstairs to bed. It might have something to do with the odd wee dram or 3 of single malt scotch whisky that I have. So I can highly recommend the sedative effects that it produces!

I'm not a whisky drinker, but willing to learn! We live very close to several distilleries including Glenmorangie, Clynelish & Balblair. Any suggestions of a good starter bottle? I'm normally a red wine drinker - Chianti & Rioja with a French Rose for fish.
I've managed without walking sticks for my worn-out knees since starting green lipped mussel extract. As always check with a pharmacist if thinking of trying a new supplement. I found the health food store own brand was not nearly as effective as the branded one, and bless them when I went back to buy more of the branded one and said so, the lass said that other customers had given the same feedback.
Perhaps safer than spirits? Must say we used to know [in Milton Keynes years back] a wonderful Scottish folk singer, the late Matt Armour, who always drank Glenmorangie. Fear it did not improve his liver though.
Best,
Denby
Glenmorangie is a favourite of mine. Generally you can’t go wrong if it’s a Speyside from Glen somewhere or other!

Do you know how many types they do? BTW Glenmorangie is just marketing, it's not a glen, it's in Tain, near the Tesco.

Balblair looks nicer to me..... or maybe I just like their website better.
