I have been put down for a Transurethral Laser Abllation., a TULA.
What is is it, and what follows it? I can find no reference to it on the Macmillan site.
It sounds like an alternative to a rigid cystoscopy. I was put down for it after a tumour was found during a flexible cystoscopy.
Hi Joe Soap. This appears to be a fairly new treatment for small superficial tumours. Not a lot of info about it. There are NICE guidelines regarding this, but it seems like early days. Reading about it, it looks like an upgrade on diathermy. Done under cystoscopy, but using laser treatment rather than the electric burns. I hope it goes well for you. Best wishes.
