Hi everyone- hope things are OK
My surgeon rang today , following a team meeting to discuss my case. I have S1 grade 3 and CIS. I have had 2 sets of BCG and I am currently having Mitomycin.
He told me that my latest CT scan showed that a previously 'indeterminite ' 10mm lesion has grown 4mm and I am to have a further CT scan to see If It is cancerous.
Given my ongoing resistance to have RC he said that If the lesion is cancer then they will try radiation
to hopefully clear it and he also said that at the same time they may as well apply radiation to the whole bladder.
Does any one have experience of this for non jnvasive bladder cancer?
Take care,
Pienmash
Hi Pienmash, not so far, in answer to your question. But pleased to hear they are willing to try this for you. It could be relevant for my husband too. His op went well today so now the lab will have the biopsy sample/s to be getting on with. It only took 5 people to get canula into him and 15 mins so he was well pleased as that has been far worse before, and he said lady anaesthetist was very gentle. Hope someone will have an answer, I expect so.
